Our Purpose
Relationships. That is the purpose of BRIC House. The idea is to encourage one another daily. To live a life that is for Christ first, others second and ourselves, last. To give more than to take. To share our lives as a sacrifice. See Romans 12:1-21. BRIC House is not Accountablilty Group – I strongly believe that you should have accountability in your life, but find it elsewhere.
BRIC House is a place where one can come without fear of judgement. If you find someone and feel comfortable enough to ask them to hold you accountable, then that is wonderful. BRIC House needs to be open, inviting, safe, uplifting and encouraging.
The chief aim is Love.
[13:1] If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. [2] And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. [3] If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ESV)

On a side-note, I need to clarify something. When I say that BRIC House needs to be safe, I mean safe from non-acceptance. Nothing in life is safe. There are moments at BRIC House that are intense and argumentative. Taking our masks off feels dangerous. But it will leave us in the safety of His arms, being loved and secured in His good will. There is nothing more safe and terrifying.
